TATLIN PREMIUM DARK GLOW 128 sq.m.
Tatlin Apartments — is a Residential development in Basmanny district of Moscow. Building of call-office in constructionism style of early XX century was re-thought and renovated for housing complex.
Now this building became incoming group of HC and over it there is an entire complex with a huge panoramic windows. It is divided into two blocks between which there is a space out of glass which creates the impression that house is levitating.
Architecture is a work of Architects of Invention — an international architect bureau which works in the field of contemporary architecture, urbanism and cultural analysis.
Our studio developed interior design projects for this Residential complex, which in the future will be implemented with finishing.
In this Residential complex there is full town with its own internal infrastructure: restaurants, cafes, huge sports area, outdoor cinema, park, co-working, place for rest and quite zones, where you can read. Notably it is town inside the building, interiors of which was implemented by our studio.
For whom this apartments are?
While working at each apartment we thought who will be the target audience exactly for this living space, to meet the demands of the customer at a maximum by developing the best solution.
The target audience for this apartments is adult well-off couple, who got used to live and work in Moscow. They are already succeed, brought up children and live at their own pace, enjoy metropolis, appreciate everything contemporary and natural, have European set of mind. They demand high comfort from the interior.
Also we counted on target audience of young and successful entrepreneurs, who have several real estate objects and this one will become one of them.
Tatlin Apartments there are apartments of both comfort and premium class and it was important to emphasize this with the help of expensive materials and bathroom fixtures.
Also we should keep in mind complex’s concept by supporting constructionism style.
One more important challenge is to be within budget. As it is RC which will be passed in exploitation with finishing, our task was to think through the finishing in such way, that the final price of the apartment won’t be beyond the clouds.
Color layout we entitled ‘Dark glow’ – ‘shining of the night’. . Apartments are done in distant neutral tones and dark shades, Nobile walnut, dark finishing of the kitchen, dark-grey marble. These are materials that are creating impression of expensive interior. There are dark-blue accents which are creating the atmosphere of the night and peace.
Kitchen – living room – dining room zone
Central and the most decent zone is a zone of kitchen, living room and dining room. This is a place where future real estate owner will invite guests, spend a lot of time and communicate. This particular space we did maximally open and it is placed near entrance and is not separated by doors.
In the interior we tried to use maximally trendy items. Although, we designed interior a year ago, used items were present on the iSaloni exhibition in Milan this year. We have predicted trends of design industry. Herewith we used natural materials in the interior: marble, finishing with dark walnut and bright walls.
In the kitchen we used dark glossy cabinetry. And as glossiness starts to be out of fashion, we on purpose used this texture to add presentable look to the interior. For the splash back we used grey marble and for fronts, floor cover and panels we used dark ‘American nut’.
In the interior it is used furniture of Italian companies Poliform and B&B, and decorative light, floor lamps, chandeliers from popular designers, what emphasizes status and expensiveness of the interior.
TV zone is emphasized with the same marble which is used for splash back in the kitchen and fronts are in nut color, in such way we duplicate finishing materials and visually unite the space. Over the TV zone continuing the idea of marble finishing, we placed panels with mat texture imitating grey micro concrete. We emphasized the wall, what is setting the design and rhythm of constructionism style.
For textile we used thick deep-brown velvet which emphasizes the status of this interior.
In order to separate hall from the living room and functionally use it for storage we emphasized with closet and rack the space between corridor and living room. In such way we used racks and built-in storage systems from the living room side and from the hall side we did wardrobes where you can put outwear when the guests come.
In the bedroom we catered to Italian brand Poliform. We used bed, chair and furniture in this brand’s style.
For textile we used blue and brown velour and expensive fabrics and for décor finishing we used gold, which will be relevant during next 5-10 years.
Bathroom and sanitary facilities
We refrained to use dark finishing in the bathroom. As the rooms are small our task was to clear visually the space and emphasize the status of the interior. That’s why we added white marble with combination of wood imitating tile Porcelanosa Oxford Cognac.
Having foreseen the trend for black bathroom fixtures we used mixing tubes, towel hangers, and other items in black color.
There are 2 sanitary facilities in the interior one with the shower cabin and another one with the bath.
Zest of this interior is that in front of bath there is a view on Moscow and there is high panoramic windows almost up to the ceiling. Bath we on purpose did detached emphasizing the wall with tile imitating wood. This wall emphasizes exactly the bath giving the impression that there is nothing more in the interior.
In the shower room we used a small sink and shower cabin with the floor trap. For the finishing we used the same materials as for bathroom, we emphasized walls with the same tile imitating wood. It seems as if it is one zone despite it is divided into different rooms.
In this interior we did maximally invisible storage systems, herewith we foreseen a huge amount of built-in spacious closets.
In the built-in wardrobe in the hall, where you can place outwear outwear we tried to get rid of hangers and other details which could distract from natural materials of the interior.
The living room and corridor are separated by column in which we placed rack from the living room side and built-in closet of 40sm depth from the corridor side.
Common zones are free of huge amount of storage systems as the living room is a place for mutual pastime and rest and there is no need to store things there. All storage we organized in the private zone. To enter the bedroom you need to go through the dressing-room such solution is really popular on the West.
We organized bathroom and dressing-room on the way into the big bed room. There are private zones, which guest’s won’t enter.
The charm of the apartment is a huge veranda in which we inserted furniture of Italian manufacturer and used the same blue accents as in the whole interior. In the planning there are 2 sanitary facilities: one is for guests and private bathroom for clients from windows of which they are able to enjoy beautiful views of Moscow.
